Born in 1963, Shizuoka, Japan. An exchange student in USA for a year. Graduated in 1987 with Bachelor of Economics at Meiji University, Tokyo. Joined an European investment bank, Tokyo. Visited Singapore for business on several occasions and noted a wealth of opportunities offered by the country.

Moved to Singapore in 1996 and joined International SOS Pte Ltd, the world-largest medical assistance company, as Regional Marketing Manager.

Joined HRnet One Pte Ltd in year 2000, as Regional Director, one of the leading executive search firms, focused on the Asia Pacific region. Worked in the Singapore headquarter for 4 years. Thereafter, relocated to start up the Japan operations and pioneered the placement of Japanese nationals in management positions for MNCs.

Enjoys traveling, reading and scuba diving. Had the opportunity to visit 24 countries in Asia, Oceania, North America, Europe and Middle East.
